Recently refurbished, 'The Peel' now has the look and feel of a modern, stylish bar but without the stylish prices. The pool table thankfully remains but the new decor and layout make the place feel lighter, more spacious and much more female friendly.
With the Queens Crescent market on the doorstep every Thursday and Saturday, the character of the pub seems to change with the weather but there's always a welcome for newcomers.
A good selection of beers including real ale, eclectic jukebox and a host of colourful locals make this my favourite London pub.
Sir Robert Peel serve a variety of beers, wines and spirits as well as traditional pub food. They have a pool table and and show major sporting events on Sky TV. They have live music at weekends and a disco on Sunday nights. A beer garden is available for use in warmer months.
