Great pub, decent prices and lovely and polite staff.
Got to be the best place to go in Islington for sure.

The staff are all very friendly and go out of their way to make customers happy. The food used to be poor but the menu has changed and it now good. Great atmosphere and wedding parties seem to love the venue.

The vineyard was possibly the worst put we have ever been to today. The 1 women behind the bar was so obnoxious and rude to us all, even to the men which they were bemused by. The cocktails were watery sugar solution and took 25 minutes to make. Avoid this place. It is a total dive and the drinks are terrible, they have no idea how to make a simple G&T ( no lemon, no ice and in a hal pint beer glass) let alone a mohito. Very very disappointing and very bad mannered bar members. No management on site to complain to!

The Vineyard is a nice looking bar with a great front garden, it's great venue for our organisation as it is big enough for a large party and is so close to our main offices. The pub has recently had a make over but this hasn't improved the way the place is run and managed. They regularly double book the venue and we have been turned away twice in the last year because "The venue is closed for a private party" I believe this is due to the pub being part of the Party At The Pub network but the management have failed to give me a valid reason as the why they turn our party away at the last minute. If you want to book a table make sure you pay the deposit and double check in the days leading up to the event that everything is OK. The bar also has very poor mobile phone coverage so don't expect to get signal esspecially at the back of the bar. The drinks aren't too over priced but the food is. The quality of the food is very poor for the price you pay so if you're feeling hungry I would recommend going to one of the dozens of other real restaurants in upper street that have top quality food at prices that easily beat The Vineyard.
