This is a lively pub with bags of character and charm. The alluring decor, jovial bar staff and the changing seasonal menu provide something for everyone. Large sofa’s for sprawling on, frothy lattes for the modern pub goer, cocktails for the sex in the city wannabe’s and a secretive beer garden for gossiping and a furtive smoke not to mention the allure of South East London’s best steak nights(The T Bone is what mouths were made for) it is a real find proving that SE23 is moving up in the world. Care and detail go in to creating a hearty pub food using fresh ingredients to create favourites such as Gammon Steak and Homemade fish and chips. The vibe is one of friendly informality, the perfect accompaniment to pint of ale and a wholesome stake and chips!

Set in deepest south East London The Honor Oak offers cheering replenishment in distinctive surroundings. With a convnial atmosphere which makes you instantly feel like you’re on first name terms with the bar staff it welcomes you in like a long lost friend. Traditional features are mischievously placed alongside 80’s throw back prints featuring Barbie and My little Pony while a local signature wall and hastily written up chalk boards complete with Guardian style spelling mistakes add a nice personal vibe. The drinks choice is imaginative and eclectic but it is the food menu which impresses the most. Handmade burgers moist and seasoned to perfection are served up with tipple cooked chips and the home made fish pie is better than your Gran’s. Sunday Lunch served with towering Yorkshire puddings and lashings of gravy is a must! A real hidden gem worth seeking out!
