Having moved into the area 6 months ago, my partner and I were delighted to stumble upon this small and charming pub. The Thai food is cheap and tasty and the drinks are reasonably priced for London. Always two ales plus Hoegaarden, some lagers and a good selection of wine are available.

The reason we return each week is the friendly atmosphere and great service. The quiz night on Monday is great, as is the poker on Tuesday. Some take these more serious than others, but it's always great fun. The beer garden is quite large and stylish, we can't wait for summer to roll round again so we can chill in this relaxed space.

The previous reviewer obviously can't tell the difference between abuse and friendly banter, maybe they need to get out more...

I never normally add reviews about Pubs, but after reading the one here I felt a response was in order.

I have been a regular at the Old Parr’s Head for a few years now and I have to travel about 2 miles or so to do so. There Beer and Ale has to be best kept in London, the Manager and he’s staff take great pride in there beer and I have actually had a pint of Hobgoblin taken from me by the manager as it was not up to he's high standard and replaced with a fresh one from a new barrel, now I thought it was perfect already but to my untrained eye what do I no. I tell you were can you get customer care like that now days.

There Thai food is fantastic better then some top restaurants I have been to and at only £6.50 for a main course amazing value. There Monday night quiz is always good fun and very busy and hosted very well by Darren the manager and I have had many a good night at there poker night which is run very well and the closest to a proper tournament I’m going to get to.

All in all I think this pub is a great little place and Darren the Manager and he's staff make this a true find in London. To think if I did not get lost on the way to Hammersmith I would have never found this place.....

I would have to disagree with the above comment, I have been a regular at this pub for over 2 years now and have found the Manager to be nothing but pleasant, polite and very professioal in he's handling of staff and seems to have a very good relationship with them. Is it not allowed for people to have an off day once and a while, im sure the person who left the above was having one that day........

This pub would have to be the worst going round in London. The only good thing about it is the Thai food. The bar itself might appear quite typical of an English pub but somehow the staff continue to smile despite being treated terribly by the manager. I would never visit the pub again and would not recommend it to anyone after witnessing poor treatment of staff from a manager on a power trip.
Response from Joe Owner
the Manager in question was replaced some time ago. Please come revisit.
