The Camden Head
(formerly Liberties Bar) is one of Camden’s oldest boozers, established in 1787! People come to the Camden Head to enjoy quality beers & pub food served up by friendly staff in a relaxed environment by day & more vibrant & lively atmosphere by night.

The last six months have seen significant changes to the pub – changes that include a redecorated bar with pool table & a new tasty pub food menu at affordable prices (click here for food & drink details). There’s also more quality comedy, live music & spoken word events in the versatile upstairs function room (click here for music listings), & some of the more homely features like the cosy fire have been enhanced with the addition of chesterfield furniture around it. The Function room, with it’s own sound system, is also available for parties & private functions – click here for further details.

Friday and Saturday nights at The Camden Head feature DJ’s in the main bar & on any given evening, there’s more than just a smattering of music-lovers soaking up the tunes being played through the pub’s new sound system.

The Camden Head has something unique to offer you, be it for a great evening out, a pre-gig or post-gig show refreshment, or just somewhere different to relax after a hard days shopping at the Camden Markets. Whether you’re a regular or a potential new customer at the Camden Head, we look forward to seeing you at the bar next time you’re in Camden Town.

This place is a staple of mine for after work quiet drinks and a wind down from the working day.

Good tunes and friendly staff make a change for the area, and fairly priced drinks are the clincher.

Clientele are about what you might expect and range from locals to the after-workers and groups of mates meeting up centrally before heading out or home. It's a fairly eclectic mix and the atmosphere is always pretty friendly.

Not as much a bar as it is a nice pub to get some grits and quench that after work thirst!

= A cool place for a few in the week, at a reasonable expense.
