i visited here with an american friend and got chatting to some locals who raved about the new management & food... the decor is really funky & retro in a weird & wonderful way (great art inside and out) and the food certainly lived up to its billing - calf's liver & bacon + mash was fantastic & the battered haddock with (real) chips was fresh and enormous (my american friend wanted 'authentic fish and chips' - she certainly got it). the staff - i presume the guy behind the bar was one of the new owners - were very friendly and helpful and i'll definitely be back. Oh & the music rocked! Speaker in the garden was a nice touch...
