Although this is a decent pub in terms of decor and location, the food is not what it used to be. Recently went for Sunday lunch to be served burnt veg/Yorkshire pudding, undercooked chicken and dry veggies. The vegetarian options on the menu are woeful. In terms of food this place is surviving on lack of competition only.

Hi
the new owners have done a great Job. Their staff are pleasant, friendly and joyful to be around. After one or two visits three of the four wners had made themselves known and I was on a first name basis with the friendly staff. I felt as though I had been drinking there for years.
In the 10 days near this area I had three meals, two were snacks and one was the full meal
All food was of ample portions, and very well presented. The food was cooked to my desire and very tasty.

On moving into the area in August I was pleased to find this pub at the end of our street! I find the staff welcoming, the decor is tidy and contemporary and the prices of drinks are reasonable compared to surrounding bars. I always feel welcome and despite there only being two ladies toilets, they are always stocked with toilet paper. I had my birthday there and I will be holding other celebrations there in the future as the staff were simply brilliant. Only one small negative - food is quite costly for the portion size. Better order a side of chips to fill you out. Only £1!
