The Standard

So dropped in for a swift drink. Needed to use toilet so headed there first. I knew where they were so it was obvious I had been here before. A guy up to his eyes with paperwork and calculator obviously trying to work out how to save his failing business shouts to me and says “you can’t just use toilet” I politely explained I needed to visit rest room and checked he was open. I then explained when I came out I would be ordering a drink. Upon my exit I told him the laminate floor he had glued to the rear of his toilet door was falling down as I headed to the bar to order as promised. He then said “are you gonna fix it??!” In an aggressive manner. I said I was merely pointing it out. I doubt he checks these things himself. He then exclaimed “I don’t need your trade! This ain’t a public house! Get out you fat c**t” I asked him what he said as I couldn’t believe what I heard. He then comes up and confronts me toe to toe! Wow! Head here if you want to be treated like dirt and insulted and threatened!! Gotta feel sorry for the staff working for someone like this odious character…went next door to the Holly Bush. Door held open. Warm welcome and a relaxing drink had.
