Great pub with friendly staff and competitively priced food - the most expensive thing on the menu is £5 and includes a mean fry-up - well worth a visit !!!

I recently spent an afternoon/evening at the "Thornhill" as the locals say, but I am a little bemused by some of the previous posts regarding this place as I found it to be a really friendly and pleasant location to have a drink!!
In My opinion they are trying to provide a bit of a new take on the Traditional London pub, the centre island bar looks like its been their since the place was built and its got a real cosy feel about it. They were selling real ales which seems to conflict with previous post and are somehow managing to offer a complete lunch menu with not one dish costing more than £4.50!! try getting that somewhere else in Kings cross!!
I got to sit in the sun away from the traffic, and had a bit of chat with one of the regulars who seemed really nice.
OK, they could do with upping their game when it comes to service, one of the girls serving the food looked particularly miserable, but overall I would definitely give it the thumbs up!! I'll certainly be returning for my chilli con carne and glass of Sauvignon blanc V soon!!!

Real old fashioned pub I thought I was in the 60s east end and a big punch up at the end of the night if you do go bring a tin hat

Its quite a cosy pub with real good home good quick lunches. Try the Ham & cheese omelet....beautiful!! The drinks are a little pricey compared to local pubs in the area. The landlord can be a bit tempremental but on a good day he'll have a laugh. Good no nonsense food and atmosphere. Not the place you'd go on a first date though!!

I recently enjoyed a great nght in the Thornhill Arms, every other Monday they hold quiz night, and it was hilarious. The locals in the pub all join in, but are very welcoming and friendly, am really looking forward to getting back in there and hopefully answering a few more questions.
The drinks are extremely reasonable, I enjoyed a tasty thai green curry, and my friend had the same for half price (not sure how long this deal is going on for but excellent value), will definitely by frequenting more often.

This pub has a great atmosphere with friendly staff. I watched an Arsenal match in there and it was like being at highbury!!!!

Drinks were unusually cheap and it looked like they've got a pretty good menu on the go too.

Would definatly reccomend if you fancy a giggle.

I have been to this pub on a number of occasions of late, and really enjoyed it. It has recently been refurbished and has new owners, it offers good booze in a nice atmosphere, perfect for after work or for a more lively night at the weekend. It also shows all major sporting events
Have your say
