Recently refurbished and under new ownership, The Queen Adelaide is now an informal gastropub. Situated in a stunning grade II listed building on Uxbridge Road, the pub is tradtional yet retro in style. With it's big central bar, domed fireplace, impressive crystal chandelier, big print wallpaper and comfy leather sofas it has a welcoming and homely feel. The modern European menu which is changed frequently is freshly prepared daily using seasonal produce. The talented chefs cook from the open kitchen close to the dining room, dishes such as chargrilled black sea bream with savoy cabbage, bacon and grain mustard dressing or mediallion of pork belly with portobello mushrooms, spinach & mash. The wine list is extensive and there's an ever changing choice of real ales from all across the UK.

We organised to meet a group of 30 friends here before attending a concert in Bush Hall. They had reserved an area for us and the food and service were excellent. We would not hesitate to recommend this pub to friends.

I will give 1 star for the lovely surroundings of the refurbished pub and another star for the smiling barmen. Everything else was terrible.
The food is too expensive especially in the area that it is in.
The service was slow, inexperienced, poor and reluctant.
The food is average considering the prices.
The staff and their friends are too laid back and need a manager to keep them in line.
Such a shame because the owner got the decor so right and locals would love to go but sadly cannot afford it nor have the patience to wait around to be served.

We ate here in the bar on Valentine's night, lovely food, good value, nice ambience, friendly service. Enjoyed it very much.
