oh, how funny the prevous reviewer is!! How on earth does he think people wash up their glasses and dishes everywhere in the world!!!( although i did see the glass washer in use too because we were near the pool table at one point, and the steam was rising from it!) I was at Nambucca saturday 10 december with tickets to see Steve Conte,(he was great!) and the place was rammed from 8pm till really late, I found that even though the staff were 4 deep at the bar and under pressure, we didnt wait too long, and the staff were very friendly.!! We have been quite a few times to see bands there, and we really like the place,.. (unlike some music venues)Whether you like the Decoration of a place is neither here nor there.. I know it has been refurbished less that a year ago, it isnt a disgusting hell hole, and judging by the couple of hundred people enjoying themselves in there on saturday night, We are not the only ones.

THIS IS THE WORST PUB IVE EVER BEEN TO.

BEWARE!

The atmosphere is grotty and uninviting, but the worst thing has to be the bar staff. Slow, rude and incompetent, you'll be lucky if you ever get served at all.

BUT HERE'S THE FRIGHTENING PART ...... not 3 days after we'd been to this hell-hole, all of our party caught colds. It's no co-incident that they were washing their pint cups by hand all night, and the only member of our group not to get ill was the only person not drinking pints...

So if a grubby atmosphere, terrible barstaff and communicable diseases are your idea of a good night out, then this is definitely the place for you.

After the fire, Nambucca really has "risen from the ashes" a couple of us went there to see a band in March 2011, and we have only great things to say about the place..great PA,great stage/lights.and AIR CON... clean toilets, with plenty of loo roll(surprising!! cant say that about all loos!!) loads of places to sit with mates, sofa/stools or a large bar area to get involved..bar prices seem to be the same everywhere so no complaints there..oh, and they do these FAB JAGERBOMBS, in great glasses....i have been back several times, and a bunch of us love it there, its not pretentious, like a lot of music venues, which is refreshing..friendly barstaff and friendly door staff, (now theres a change!!)oh,I forgot, they got crazy DJ booth, high up over the crowd, its mental!! gota great sound tho

This isnt really a pub, not really a club, more of a music venue with a big bar. Good relaxed atmosphere and er, rustic surrounds, plays quality bands and is an alternative scene. Good to go for new bands with the occasional gem thrown in (The Holloways, look em up on my space). WTF, raise beer prices on the weekend? bullshtt.

I went to the 'launch night' of this 'club' last night. It wasn't good, and is a bar, not a club. The PA was rubbish, there weren't enough toilets, and there was no air-conditioning, so I didn't enjoy it because I was hot and sweaty. I sat on a chair, and it broke. While it might one day be a good space, it's not set-up right and is falling apart, a friend told me they made the beer more expensive at the weekend. I didn't really have a good time
