The King Charles I is a very popular pub on Northdown Street with a great atmosphere. The open fire adds to its attractions in winter, whilst there are a few tables out front in the summer. No food is served, but you can bring your own or order from the various cafes across the road and have it delivered.

Tiny, off beer, and utterly odd bar staff. 30 mins to get served then thrown out whilst half way through pint

A real character pub with bar billiards, 4 real ales (including a Brodies from Leyton on last visit) and good range of bottled specialities. Friendly staff too, a real gem considering the location.
