My friends and I were going to see our friend's play at the Unicorn Theatre and arrived early so had a scout around for someplace to sit and have a glass of wine and some food beforehand.
The Bridge Lounge is where we ended up. It was lovely. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The food was great and the surroundings were perfect to sit and catch up comfortably.
We enjoyed this pub so much that when the show was finished we went back and brought the cast with us. Many of them commented on this pub being where they would come for post-performance drinks.
All in all a great place to go and I will definately return.

I arrived as I often do at the Bridge Lounge at 11am on Sunday morning. I was the only customer in the establishment. I gave my order of eggs benedict with bacon and a J20 with ice to a barman who was concentrating fiercely on understanding this simple order. I then wathched as he painfully wristled with the till to enter the order, periodically calling the manager over to help. Wary from previous experiences I reminded him that I wanted eggs benedict with bacon. He appeared to understand. He then opened a bottle J20 from the fridge. Realising that he had not shaken the bottle first he then forced the top back onto the bottle, shook it and re-opened it. I sat down. 5-10 minutes later the manager delivered eggs benedict without bacon. Another 10 minutes later the manager correctly served me with eggs benedict and bacon.

Every time I've been to this establishment the staff have bungled the order. It's not even as if they are under pressure - there are rarely more than 3 customers in this place whenever I've been.

Bridge Lounge I have two pieces of advice for you: 1) make sure that your front of house staff are presentable, communicative and capable - no zombies please 2) get the order right - first time - without mistakes.

If you take these two simple pieces of advice you may just be able to turn-around a sinking ship. You're well located and you appear to have a roaring evening trade but your day trade leaves alot to be desired.

Have your say
