All In London Review
It’s a real pub
It’s a blokey sort of place – and there are screens showing football sometimes. It’s pretty big. Downstairs there are both high and low tables as well as areas where groups can sit – and a split level area so it still feels intimate. There is an upstairs area too – although, apart from popping to the loos there, I can’t say I remember much about.
There’s a large outdoors areas with lots of picnic style tables and benches for the smokers. And there are pleasant pots with flowers and shrubs to give it a garden feel.
The bar staff are genuinely friendly and pleasant. Mind you, it really is mostly wine and beer available and the coffee machine wasn’t working last week (hope it is now fixed guys!).
And it is conveniently close to the many other bars and restaurants in the newly developed riverside area – and there is a great fish and chip bar round the corner as well as the always bursting at the seams O’Neills.
My only (minor) gripe was that on my last visit the young security guys made a joke about not checking our ID. Now I know we aren’t exactly the youngest people to frequent the place but we really don’t want security guys laughing hysterically as we enter to remind us of our advancing years. Come on guys, give us a break, and you wont be teenagers forever y’know!
