Very good food at reasonable prices. Some of the stake and beef dishes are particularly good and sourced from Scottish farm estates. They have a fair selection of wines and larger/beers, although I feel their real ales are chilled just a bit too low.
It’s not large, but on the several occasions I have been there it has busy but never packed. The atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming for a high street pub.
I would recommend it as a good balance of quality against cost, well worth a meal and a beer.
