The Roebuck is relaxed, friendly local pub with a good selection of beers and ales, which change at a regular interval, and prices are reasonable too.
It's full of memorabilia, knick-knacks, coins and paper money from all over the world, newspaper clippings and even a traffic light which will all keep you amused for ages.
The garden is lovely and offers nice shady area for when it's hot and I like the fact you sit amongst kiwi fruits, figs and tomatoes. In winter the fire place is used daily, giving it a lovely atmosphere and more importantly it keeps the place warm.
A minor note perhaps but the pub is also clean - a difficult job no doubt with all those bits and pieces on the walls, shelves and ceiling!
Most of the locals are very friendly and even those who get a bit rowdy, are kept in check by the bar staff who are very friendly and helpful. The fact it has no big TV screen or loud music is a bonus. In all, I would highly recommend this pub for its unique display, friendly atmosphere and let's not forget, it's beers.
Traditional and friendly local pub with clean, stylish interior and serving delicious food and real ales!
