Came here on Friday and loved it. Atmosphere was brilliant I will most defiantly be back.

Love the fact that the landlord has turned this place into something everyone can enjoy.
Just goes to show you can polish a turd and still come up smelling of roses.

About time we have a GAY venue in the area, what a genius idea.
Visited twice over the bank holiday weekend and I travelled all the way from Wimbledon.
The Royal Standard was a dive for years and home to some very unsavoury characters and that was just the people running it.
It now has a fresh new angel which seems to be working as it was very busy on both occasions.
The fact that the owner greets everyone when the leave and enter the premises and treats them to songs on the juke box out of his own pocket is a massive gesture and more licensees should take this on board.
