Lovely place, with stripped back floor boards and an open kitchen so you can keep an eye on the chef. small front area but has a large garden in the back, a lovely sun trap for lunch. We visit on occasions for lunch or after work drinks. The food is fantastic, menu is small, a burger theme and normal pub food menu, huge portions. Best fish and chips in the area for me. There is a function room upstairs although I never been up there so do not know how it looks. Beers are kept in good condition.

I found The Crown Pub and Grill to be a fantastic choice for lunch or dinner or just after work drinks with a group of friends or colleagues. On my most recent visit I had the steak for lunch and a kiwi beer called Mac's Gold. The settings are lovely, and come with an air-conditioned spacious main body, light wooden finishings, TVs and entertainment and a solid good value wine-list and food menu. Choice!

The Crown has recently changed management and you can definitely notice a difference. Its the closest pub from work so I've been there a few times, the new owner Phil is a legend! We celebrated Burn's night there recently and he went to A LOT of effort to make sure everyone had a good time! The food was deliciious and there was a brilliant atmosphere, I recommend the Crown for dinner and/or drinks!

I am sure that those customers, such as the one below did infact find the service impeccable. The staff do take unparraleled pride in giving and receiving a very personal service that extends beyond the public house itself and to the far reaches of the dwellings of the employees and the individuals who choose to frequent there. Ten out of ten for making the customer happy if one is partial to such behavior.

I found my experience at the Crown to be no more than wonderful. The service, from both the bar and kitchen alike, was exceptional. The food was delicious and beautifully presented and the service from the bar made me feel like I had been frequenting it for years. Definitely a visit I will have to make more often!

Unfortunately, but somewhat predictably, I found that this public house was rather substandard. The biggest let down for me was the staff- who, though they like to make out that they have food and wine knowledge they actually have no clue whatsoever, and are infact rather incompetant. This was a great dissapointment for me as I thought the atmosphere and level of service was much better before the new management took to the reigns. It also seemed that the assistant manager had no other interest than to create a harem of women for himself giving me the impression that customer service seems to be the last thing on the mind of The Crown employees.

Had my first visit to the crown since its refurb last night. What a difference! I didnt spend all night thinking I was going to get robbed. Had some food from the specials board which was quick and very good. The wine list was a bit boring but they tell me that is changing very soon. The staff were very friendly and gave great service. Excellent pub with good food and cool staff
