This new pub in Islington takes it's inspiration from former Penton Street resident and favourite entertainer of his day Joseph Grimaldi (1778 - 1837). Grimaldi who is said to be the father of the modern clown when he introduced a clown figure at nearby Sadlers Wells Theatre, was a figure of comedy, satire and fun. It's with this spirit that The Joker of Penton Street wants to immerse itself and provide a fun and friendly environment and welcome to all its guests.
