Why respond?
At All In London we don't want business owners to feel helpless about negative reviews but at the same time we don't want to delete genuine comments from customers. In our experience the best way to ensure that the business's reputation is maintained is to openly respond to negative reviews, this can turn the situation around in your favour and show other users that you're not unreasonable and are dealing with it professionally.

The review in question

Ate at Pizza on the Green in Ealing yesterday and ordered their chicken dish from the specials menu. Due to the restaurant being dimly lit we did not realise till half way through our meal that the chicken was cooked on the outside but indeed very raw further in! We very quietly mentioned this to the waitress who went to speak to the manager and came back and offered us a free dessert! Or 50% off our bill! Most discusted we managed to not pay for our main but still had to pay for our drinks and starter and the manager did not come and see us.
Unfortunately this has now lead to an extremely sore and upset stomach!
I think they could have been a bit more concerned about this!
