Their Chiswick in-branch automated processes work fine but can also be found on the internet.
Their interpersonal skills are poor, slow and ultimately conceited.
As a premier customer, globally I have seen great things from HSBC, as a Chiswick customer the service was weak. As a premier customer the Chiswick branch fell well below standard.

smarmy, rude and very un-helpful and all i wanted to do is pay a cheque in.

I attempted to contact the HSBC branchs, first in Knightsbridge and then Chiswick. Called the number (general number for all inquiries) and was asked for the branch sort code and then my HSBC credit card number. As I am a seeking to be a new business customer wanting to make an appointment with the branch business specialist, and expecting to be given the branch number, the questions were not applicable. Better to ask if I am a new customer as well so I can be directed to a better solution. Very disappointing. Any more and I will find another bank.

I was looking for opening hours of the Chiswick HSBC (beeing one of the very few HSBC lobbies opening late and on saturdays) but all I get is a telphone No asking for my sort code or card No.
Not good enough!
