I work as security at a venue in Balham. Last night there was function for the senior citizens. A elderly lady asked me for a cab number and I gave her Greyhound cars as I have used them myself before. The call was made at 02.40 to take this lady home and she was told 20 minutes. I emptied and locked up my venue at 325pm and saw the same lady still standing outside by herself. The cab had not arrived. Luckily I drove so took the poor lady home. Single females and where children are involved should have a slightly higher consideration especially the elderly outside at 3am on their own.

Yesterday following a very difficult day with a 2 1/2 year old being starved in preparation for an op then to be told it had be postponed until today we got a taxi from St George’s to the premier inn, in Wimbledon. Our driver was helpful and polite. I didn’t realise I dropped my card wallet in the cab when I was finding our fare. Later we had a knock on out hotel door. It was a member of hotel staff and the cab driver. He had found my wallet and after an Id check returned it to me. Thank you so very much. We didn’t get the driver’s name but you should be very proud of him. He took 2 adults and child in his cab in the late afternoon

We had an appointment for our sick cat, and factored in 20 minutes extra. What we didn't factor in was the cab arriving FORTY, 40 minutes late! So we were late for the appointment and were turned away.
Utterly terrible service. Never again! Avoid this horrible service.

Called to get a cab from A&E at St. George's Hospital in Tooting for a 5 minute drive home as unable to drive. This was just before 6pm today 30/10/2019. We were told that somebody would come and call our name and give a number. At 7.15pm as no driver had come we called again to be told "you've missed it"!!!!! When I asked what he meant by that I was told that the driver had come to the OUTSIDE of the A&E unit and called our name. It is not surprising we weren't there as we had NOT been told we were to wait OUTSIDE!! Just that the drive would come and call our name and a number. Can you please explain how you expect people to guess that they need to be outside in the cold or possibly rain/snow etc when they are obviously either ill or in pain as few would bother to visit A&E if they are in good health!!!!! Thisi s not looking for a cab after an exciting nights out.

Well the comment by the owner Tom just goes to show he did not actually read the review. The lady stated the driver did not have any knowledge, or maybe common sense in knowing route. We all know that Black cabs have the Knowledge test and minicabs do not. Having said that maybe unsing drivers who actually know their job might be the way forward.

I've been using Greyhound for a very long time now and whilst yes there has been the odd late car here and there, trains run late, people run late and Addison Lee have never been on time for me, they offer a 97% excellent service for me. Nobody ever writes about the ontime car do they?
A driver once told me they cover around 8000 jobs a week, well I'd expect some lateness then wouldn't you?
I refuse to believe anyone actually sits there and says 'I know I'm going to make Mrs X late today' - no, circumstances happen.
In response to the lady bemoaning knowledge, TfL dont insist on a knowledge when they licence drivers, why is that then Greyhound or anyones fault? TfL licence the man and send him out to find a firm.
Uber, Addison Lee, Keens etc all rely on satnav, I've even had black cab drivers with a TomTom.

Phoned yesterday and booked a cab for this morning for 8am.
At 8.05 I had a call to say they would be another 10 minutes followed by a text say cab on its way.
At 8.25 I phoned them back to be told the cab was 7 minutes away but that doesn't include traffic time. Lady I spoke to said it wasn't her fault she'd only just arrived it was the fault of the guy who had just left.
Phoned another cab company who arrived at 8.35 without any problems.
Due to Greyhounds incompetence I missed my hospital appointment at 9.00 and now have to re-schedule. If you think about using them don't

We have lived in the area for almost 20 years, and are aware of the cab companies in the area and their reputations. This cab firm may have many drivers, but the reputation, as I have heard, and experienced, is really crass. They may give the idea of a professional company, but most their drivers have no knowledge of where they are going, or basic customer etiquette, I have used them on several occasions when Keen's, my favoured company, are busy. On one important occasion, I was with my baby and the driver did not even help me load my pram or luggage in the boot, let alone get out of his car
