Opening Summary
Mon - Sat: 10am - 6pm
Sun & Bank Holidays: 12pm - 5pm

The shops carry a wide range of products - large comfy leather sofas, antique French wrought iron bedsteads as well as contemporary counterparts, handmade English & French kitchen tables, restored telephones, as well as being London's best toy shop. More items of interest include jewellery, linens, lamps, kitchenware, bathroom, gifts and much more, brought together from the most diverse sources imaginable - working with new designers, scouring antique fairs across the country and frequent trips to continental Europe and America.

We are always sure to have something unusual and interesting to fit pretty much any requirement. We strive not to stock the stuff that everyone else does and you can pick up everywhere and go to great pains to try to ensure that when you visit us, you really feel as though you've not seen it all before. There is of course, sometimes an overlap of some contemporary item or other with another supplier, but when that happens, you can be certain that we'll be more competitively priced - and if we're not, we'll price match.

This is my favourite shop in London!

I've been a frequent customer for years.

It's a furniture shop, an antique shop (and there are hardly any of those left in Islington, or London for that matter) a gift shop, it always has the greeting card I need and more recently (in the last 5 years) probably the best toy shop anywhere. Forget Hamleys, Toys R US or John Lewis.

The stuff they sell is either unusual or collectable, or both. Much of it you haven't seen anywhere else and the vintage stuff is all so nicely restored - they've got a cool restoration workshop in the basement that you can look through the window into. I guess you could find some similar things in junk shops, but this place has been around for so long now (since I was a kid) that you can buy knowing that if you've dropped a clanger, they'll still be there in the morning to sort it out for you. Once, I bought a chair from them and then a day or two later saw it a bit cheaper somewhere else. No worries though, because they price match and just gave me the difference back.

You should go and have a look around. You can spend ages in there and they don't seem to mind. They've even got a loo for the mum's with desperate kids. It never disappoints. And the staff are nice and they seem to have a sense of humour about what they sell. And at Christmas, it really comes into its own - but beware, it gets packed in there and you have to be quick cos a lot of the stuff is one-off and once it's sold, it's sold.
