I bought my guitar from here in 1988. A brand new Aria TA60 in Crackle finish. It was love at first sight.
Great shop sorry for the late review. ?

I bought a Korg Arp Odyssey in their Aladdin's cave in the basement. Great people to do business with and will come again.

I wanted to buys a ukulele for my boyfriend so I went to all the shops along Denmark Street starting with the most modern one where all the instruments were locked away and you had to ask to try each one. I ended up in Chris's where they gave me such personal service. There was no pressure to buy, I played uke after uke for nearly an hour while they patiently indulged me. I finally found one I loved but was too expensive and they gave me a good price for it. I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

I went a few months ago and told the staff I wanted a nice sounding ukelele. I said I was just learning. There was no pressure, lots of advice and I was able to play each one to see how I liked it. After choosing one, I took it most places. After leaving it on a train (my own fault) I went back to buy a replacement, only to find that particular ukelele company had gone bust. They were sympathetic and reduced the price of another ukelele as a good will gesture. I felt really looked after, and each time I go to the shop I am always recognised and made to feel welcome.

I went to London late in February this year. I looked in all the music shops in Denmark Street, but found nothing good. But the last shop i visited, which was Chris Bryant's Musical Instrument, i found a beautiful guitar. It was a Washburn G-5V. The staff was very helpful, one of them even went to another shop to get a cable that fitted the guitar. The shop had also a decent collection of guitars. I highly recommend to look in the second-hand department!

What a friendly shop. Relaxed enough not to feel any pressure while browsing but helpful and professional as soon as the need arose.
Will definitely recommend this shop to my musical mates.

Passed by here last Saturday (20.02.10), looked in the window and one of the staff made a rude gesture to his mate. I think he was commenting on the passers by (me), I don't like that sort of thing. It was very embarrassing. I won't be going there again.

You didn't visit this time, either. You passed by the shop. Your lack of custom will surely be missed
