Still standing after over 175 years, this shop is an institution!
They always have what I want and judging by the constant stream of builders, workers and office workers, other people's needs are met too.

I wish all shopping experiences could be like Pentons.

I've live in Marylebone for 20 years and Pentons is a much loved local business. It is part of the old Marylebone and part of the community and "Marylebone Village". Like the ravens in the Tower of London, I think if Penton's ever go from Marylebone it will be time for me to go too.

What great service. Have been in a few times and have been served by different people who were all so knowledgeable. They managed to solve all my problems when the big stores failed me.

I don't believe it! A proper hardware shop like they used to be. What a gem in the heart of the westend. Everything you need and loads of things you didn't realise you needed, all provided by helpful and knowledgable staff. AMAZING!!!

Everything you need from a good old fashioned shop - vast range of products, helpful, informed staff, and a real treasure trove of real stuff in the middle of this area.

What an absolutely delightful shop. I found the staff to be incredibly helpful. They had everything I required and more, and not at unreasonable prices considering it is in the centre of Marylebone and the West End. Thank goodness for shops like these. It makes shopping for all things DIY a joy and not a chore as it would have been if I'd had to schlep to B & Q or Homebase, or indeed any of those soulless chains. Long may it survive in these uncertain times. We need places like this!
