Massive range of items for house and garden + effective sourcing of items online.
So my first enquiry is to ring 020 995 4545 and most times Chiswick Hardware have what I need.
Good range of architectural ironmongery, furniture for doors and windows.
And I benefit from their several decades of DIY knowledge, tips and suggestions.

Great hardware store - much better than your B*Q or Homeb*** which are slowly squeezing independent shops out of business. We'll miss them when they're gone! The lady behind the counter was everything the Chain shop 'workers' are not. Helpful, knowledgable and not filled up with that Training Course customer service bull**** which is of no use to anyone other than middle-management tick-box merchants.
My only worry is parking. Today I cycled but if I was in the car I'd be worried about getting a ticket. There may be a '20mins only and no return after 2 hours'. Check first. Wardens are
