The Shed is a local jewel. If people want to save a few quid by driving to B&Q, good luck to you. The shed will give you advice, put you in touch with quality tradesmen, and sell you one screw instead of a bag of 100.

I have found a plumber, roofer, drain man, and builder via recommendations from the Shed. Brilliant place.

We have recently moved to the Mortlake area and are doing renovations to our house. I wanted to buy materials locally so thought I would pop into The Shed for some paint. What a mistake that was. I was charged an excessive amount for the paint (around £60 for a tub), which I have since found out I could buy from B&Q for less than half the price (£25). I can’t help but feel I have been ripped off. It’s a shame and pretty shortsighted of The Shed as we still have loads of renovations to do on our place and I would have liked to have supported a local business but will be shopping elsewhere in the future. I would recommend others do the same and don’t waste their time (or money) with this place, you’ll only be ripped off and feel like you’ve been taken for a ride.

The staff treat you so well. Ladies you will feel respected and valued in here, and the staff are knowledgable and extremely helpful. They go above and beyond.
I disagree with the comment on prices, I was looking for really large strong wall plugs and screws and a two pack was really expensive in Homebase but they were 25p each in here!

Lots of stock n stuff but you pay over the odds compared to bigger shops, not just a few pence either. I am happy to support local stores but there comes a point of where it is not acceptable. OK for odd emergency bits n mooching.

Friendly and knowledgable local hardware store with great staff who know their stuff. Can be relied on to advise and supply everything needed for your building and DIY - forget the big chains and shop here!
