I contacted this company about re-upholstering my sofa. The owner/manager was extremely rude and had what can only be described as a 'no-can-do' attitude. He point blank refused to give me a rough indication of how much it might cost to do a job and was extremely condascending. It lead me to believe that working with them would be a real nightmare. If customer service is important to you, i suggest trying somewhere else!
This comment has an official response:Although this took place some years ago we thought it time to record what actually happened. A gentleman called in to our Showroom/Studio and asked how much it would be to re-upholster his sofa. We have been running our interior design business from the same premises for well over 40 years. One of the policies developed over the years is not to provide rough indications of prices for any of our services. We advise potential clients of this policy, and back it up by suggesting that we visit there premises, view the project, give advice and guidance, and then provide firm written quotes. No charge is made for this service.
When we advised the gentleman of our policy, and suggested we make an appointment to view his sofa, and follow it up with a quotation, he seemed not to be able to understand that a 'rough indication of how much it might cost' was not possible. Our business still successfully continues mainly on recommendation.
