My local go to for fabric and haberdashery. Staff are great! Lots of advice and always helpful. The shop is slightly chaotic but to me that adds to the charm! It’s an Aladdins cave.
I’m devastated that it will soon be closing down for good.

I have being in the shop many times and always found the service wonderful helpful staff that don't badger you to buy anything that you didn't ask for and always polite

I found this shop quite by chance and am very glad I did and will return. So much better than Goldhawk Rd that everyone raves about. Lovely chaps serving, helpful, polite and knowledgeable. I do not recognise the negative reviews from my experience.

I’ve been buying fabric here for around 5 years when I was a newbie seer and have always had a happy shopping experience.
It is usually busy and crowded but the staff have always been helpful offering advice when needed and the teams enthusiasm just adds to the experience.
Before my little boy started school he often came with me and Chris and the team allowed him to organise the button rack to keep him busy while I made my choices, they would also answer all his endless questions about anything and everything and I think this more than anything shows just how kind and helpful the team are as it really is above and beyond.

was a bit worried due to previous reviews of miserable customer service; but today I was helped by a lovely helpful girl who made the experience a pleasant one. Got lots of bargains , made the traffic jam crawl to get there worth it!

I have used Roll & Rems for many, many years. I find the staff are very helpful and very friendly. There is always a good turnover in fabrics, and one of the very few places you can buy paper patterns. And great bargains, It can get very busy in there at times, but it is a very popular shop. Well done to Chris and Jason for running a great shop.

I always go to this shop and find the staff very helpful and friendly and a lot of fun. Chatotic?? theyve just got lots of stock, They have a great range of fabrics which are continiously changing, its a great relaxed and unpretentious shop, go.

Rems and Rolls have a good selection of fabric, nothing too original, but you can find some nice pieces if you search and the prices are very reasonable. But the shop is chaotic and the staff are unhelpful and deliberately and insultingly rude, they can also on occasions be quite aggressive. I am at a loss as to why anyone goes there because of the atmosphere in the shop. The Lewisham shop is as bad. Its a pity because fabric shops are such a rarity these days. Rems and Rolls - improve your customer care and service.

I found the service at Rolls and Rems great. The ladies in there are always helpful, even when the place is packed full of people. Having been here 5+ times now I've had great service every time. The only thing I can fault is the cutting which is sometimes a little bit wonky. Other than that I'd definitely recommend this shop. Good supply of fabrics, with some interesting African prints as well. I'd also suggest looking through their bargain bin. I found 5m of black linen in there for about £4. Overall a good shop.

I could not agree more with the service issue! I visted the Lewisham branch last month and the service was horrendous.

As one of the only fabric stores in this part of town, the shop is nearly always busy, and well stocked with domestic and fashion fabrics. While there is a lot of fabric, the choices for contemporary prints is limited and rather conservative. That aside, they have a plethora of jersey knits, coated cotton and novelty textiles, alongside the traditional cottons, voile and beautiful batik and African prints.

The service is, however, pretty bad. If you're looking for advice, help or even a little enthusiasm, you're out of luck. There's a bad vibe, but if you can get over the oppressive weight of hostile staff, there are some finds tucked in amongst the chaos.

If you're looking for quality, go to Soho. If you're looking for something simple and moderately priced, this is the place.
