Café Renoir is a French-accented bistro with a menu to match.
I had a Croque Madame (£8.55), which was mouth-wateringly tangy. The toast was lovely and crunchy and the ham seemed of really good quality. One slight quibble was that the egg yolk could have been runnier. It came with a very generous portion of nicely cooked chips. The Spicy Cajun Burger (£9.25) was clearly homemade, being very fat (in a good way) and spiced with paprika. It came maybe a little overcooked but was very lean. The ‘Cajun’ angle seemed to be that it was served with jalapeños and a tangy side sauce.
Cafe Renoir serve a variety of light meals as well as a selection of sandwiches, snacks and beverages throughout the day. Catering for vegetarians is also provided.
