CoffeeMax opened in April 2005 bringing a much needed venue for fine dining/coffee shop to the popular town of Tooting. The restaurant serves a la carte lunches and dinner, with the emphasis on the highest standard of ingredients and cooking.
The menu at CoffeeMax offers the highest quality seasonal and locally produced food at affordable prices.
Our kitchen is constantly evolving combining traditional and contemporary cuisine to suit both modern and more mature lifestyles and tastes.
The atmosphere and décor are relaxed, focusing on comfort rather than formality. Our service is friendly and always efficient.
We have 50 covers and will happily reserve and cater for the single diner to private function.
CoffeeMax is also one of the first Italian restaurants that is halal thus being able to appeal to a much wider audience.

Our company used Coffee Max's services for 3 weeks and we have a lot to thank for their flexibility, attention to detail and good food. We had very good feedback from everyone eating, and I myself had a lovely experience. We are looking forward to going to to restaurant soon again!

CoffeeMax is a great place in Tooting for all of the family, with great portions, good prices, and most of all, and excellent food quality, with something for everyone. We live in there.

I am regular customer. I have to go to coffeemax every weekend with my family, my kids can not get enough. Definitely try meat dishes. Excellent family restaurant.

Coffee Max, is a lovely hidden gem in Tooting.
The food is delicious - I have a really big soft spot for the banoffee pie which is simply heavenly :)
The service is fantastic.
For these reasons I easily can end up dining here a few times a month.
I would recommend you try it for yourself :)

I went to Coffee Max with a few friends last night.
I've had a lot of friends rave about it and thought I'd pay it a visit.
The food was excellent - especially the Lasagna.
All the portions we received were very large.
And the price was very good.
Its a small place - nice and cosy.
The service was very good - drinks were filled up in no time.
I'd highly recommend it.
Looking at the negative reviews here - it appears that most of them were done by the same person some time in July.
If you are looking for very good Italian or just a good tasty meal- this is a very good place.

It has been steadily downhill from there.
Expensive, poor service, massive queues in peak hours, a little changing menu, overly chilled food and badly trained staff behind the counter who seen unable to serve fast enough or understand our currency/change.

What a shocker !!!
I have used them before as a takeaway, but walked in and ordered this time.
I can only assume they had no deliveries and no manager.It is not acceptable for the chef to be texting and using his mobile when he was making my pizza. I complained ( more sniggering ) and he started afresh.

Shockingly poor service, the staff move at a glacial pace; however they have the ability to avoid eye contact with absolute skill. If I could give zero stars then it would more accurately reflect my opinion.

First, you have to obtain a table, then go to the cashier and pre-pay for your food and drinks (very much like a pub); however, there were no menus available. Due to the lack of a menu we ordered coffee and cake, as we could see what cakes were available.
The order took 40 mins to arrive and when it did the coffee was cold and the cakes were not what we had ordered. The waitress took the order away and took a further 10 mins to bring the correct order.

terrible! coffee with dead shots! disgusting! service without a smile and rather rude! dirty tables, all sticky and looking rather dodgy! never try it again!...

The service was excellent but the coffee was bitter and strong and I had to leave most of it. What a waste of money.
I was later told by a friend that the customer has to ask for just one shot of coffee instead of two. How is one to know in advance that the coffee is to be so strong?
