Visit the cafe on a regular basis and find the food to be of excellent quality and at a reasonable price. The staff are friendly and I am always served promptly.

This is not the ivy - it is not a proper greasy spoon cafe. Caesar Palace acts like the former and doesn't even deliver on the latter. Set on a lovely high street it is the 'cred' establishment for the suburbs who dont know any better. Cheap decor and seating, poor quality pre-cooked catering pack food. A decent cafe wouldnt get away with such poor basics, they can't fry and egg and the sausages are as cheap as they can get. The service is unfriendly and prefunctory and on a sunday morning the charmless manager stands by the table stalking you till you leave - no leisurely finishing off and a glance at the papers ..... he asks you to leave while there is still coffee in your cup. Perhaps at The Wolesey this might be expected, but in an establishment as shoddy, poor quality and charmless as this it is a joke. Walk past Caesar Palace take a stroll along the forest, hop on a bus and go to proper cafe down Walthamstow Market if that is what you are after. Avoid this place, they dont deserve your custom.
