As a regular customer who brings several friends and other acquaintances to the cafe on a regular basis most Saturday mornings for the past year, to be asked coldly that I have to leave in order to free up a table for 4 or 5 people after having a large meal and coffee, is pretty absurd. To be asked to leave, when there were clearly several other customers present at the scene who have been there much longer than I have, is rather irritating. Very unprofessional, and very badly handled.
I won't be coming back here anytime soon.

Came here today for my lunch and was extremely disappointed with the food. I ordered lasagne with chips and salad. I was served pre packed microwave lasagne from sainsburys or whichever supermarket it was purchased from. Not what you expect from any restaurant or cafe. I didnt say anything and was happy to pay even though I didnt eat it. The chef approached me in an angry manner and asked what my problem was and why I didnt eat my food and I told him. He was very rude and just shrugged his shoulders. It should be cooked from fresh or not on the menu. The waiter was very polite. Avoid

I went for breakfast and the staff were friendly and the food was great. Reasonably priced and great location.
As for anyone who thinks it's acceptable to brush their hair in ANY restaurant, probably best eating at home or from a street vendor. No reason to slate the restaurant for its appropriate hygiene policy.

Three of us went for breakfast at my son's suggestion. He lives in the area and rated this as the best place to eat. We were extremely impressed with the friendly, polite and efficient service. The food was fantastic - probably the best full English breakfast we have had in years. The small changes we requested (swapping one thing for another) were all happily provided. We will visit every time we are in the area.

I've no idea what 'flybanite' is going on about in her review - can't emphasise how wrong she is. Mamma Mia's is a lovely restaurant/cafe in the heart of Kentish Town. A lovely little place, very polite & helpful staff, portions are hearty and very very tasty - all at a very good price. Recomme

Beyond awful experience. If putting up with the longing stares at you whilst eating isnt enough from the miserable staff, the owner told me to leave for brushing my hair when empty and only me in there...wasnt harming anyone. He was also very very rude and nasty. Thats thanks for regular custom. Just beyond awful...
