I am not sure about the other reviewers cake experience but I go there for lunch everyday and the Paninis are good, if a little slow.

Really nice friendly staff too.

I ordered and paid in full up front in-store for a 40th birthday cake for my brother.
Upon collection I found that the icing and decoration were substandard. There was a large noticable crack in the icing, one of the numbers had been applied incorrectly and someone had tried (very unsuccessfully )to cover it up. The glaze on the "fresh fruit" had run down the cake. Frankly the cake looked second hand.

I made my concerns known to the staff, asked to see the manager, asked for a reduction in price as the item was substandard. I was told excuses,(sorry, new baker!, manager has already gone home, discounts not allowed).

Do not use this bakery for 'special cakes', they will happily not provide what you have paid for and tell you 'not to take it personally'.

I was embarrassed to present this cake to my family, and we were all very disappointed, but it was to late to find a suitable alternative, and I had already paid them forty pounds.

I recommend not paying the full amount up front, only pay the minimum deposit, so at least if the same thing happens to you, you will not lose as much money as I did.

I do not reccommend this bakery.

In conclusion, I was told the owner is a Sudenese gentleman named, wait for it, MR BAKER. Yeh right!!
