If you like it beefy (and salty) check these out...

Salt beef beigels from Brick Lane’s Beigel Bake have become an institution in Shoreditch and Spitalfields. The meat might be a touch tougher than some of the other outfits on our Best For list but nothing beats the value and the availability. Plus, you don’t get snooty looks when you add cream cheese to your salt beef and mustard.

Good food at bargain prices

Beigel Bake; it is what it is. Not a restaurant, not a café, just an over the counter bakery that will furnish you with one of the best salt beef beigels in London. Cheap doesn’t cover it. More filling than a full meal, tastier than steak and don’t even try comparing it to a sandwich. So cheap, so good.

Round the clock service...

This bagel shop often has queues of hungry punters after a night out clubbing in the East End, or shoppers visiting Brick Lane market. They’re famous for their Jewish bagels piled high with salt beef, mustard and gherkins.

You can buy many types of bagel (beigel) here, but if i's your firs visit and you don't go for salt beef you are missing most of the point.
For just over £4 you get almost half a cow's worth of melt in the mouth deliciousness that will have you wondering if you can get tomorrow's lunch here too!

I have eaten salt beef in many places in London and in New York but none of them come within a mile of Beigel Bake for taste and value. Oh and go for an almond slice for afters ...

First thing in the morning, lunchtime or last thing at night after six pints. A hot salt beef and mustard (plenty of it) beigel from Beigel Bake is the best at any time of the day.

Beats a kebab, beats a fry-up and beats whatever you might usuallu consume for lunch. Beats all-comers. And cheap too.
