The Butcher Shop

This is a fantastic family butchers, helpful and just ask if you want something special sausages are excellent. Don’t go to the big stores, go somewhere that cares.

I love this butcher's. They have great quality meat & a wide range. I've had venison, pheasant, turkey rabbit & some quirky cuts that have all been delightful on each occasion. The staff are helpful & more, & the food is reasonably priced. My friend who lives further away comes here for her chicken & ham always.

Best butchers in the area and not halal which is great. All three of the butchers take an interest in what you want to make and then recommend a cut....even if it's cheaper. Great butchers shop. Am a loyal fan :-)

Great range of meats, good advice and always friendly. Incredibly good value as well.

Was told about this butcher by a friend and can honestly that I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meat and delighted with the price. I will definitely be shopping here again.

I always buy my meat/poultry/game from this butcher. All fresh. He can tell the origin of the meat, if its halal (glad its not) and the game he most of the time even know when it was killed and by whom. Brilliant! Excellent prices too.

Peter and Vic are two of the nicest butchers you could ever hope to meat (sic).

There's no nonsense or ponciness here - just good down to earth, honest advice.

They're only to happy to go out of their way to help you or get something to order from Smithfields.

No need to go to the Ginger Pig and pay three times the price.

Cannot recommend highly enough.

The shop is owned by a man called Peter. I passed by at 6 O'clock and although he was closing up he went off to fetch me minced beef and sausagemeat and even gave me a pack of pancetta for free as it was on its sell-by date. What a man; he's worked there for 30 years, and couldn't be friendlier.
