We like food and since we moved to Northfields we have tried many of the great (and not so great) places on our high street - this is an gem of place - understated, great staff, excellent food, very good value. Cannot fault it.

Three of us ate here one evening. We tried a variety of dishes and enjoyed all of them. One of our party lives in Italy and is not easily impressed - but he was this time! There was a set menu of two courses for £10.95 which we considered a really good deal, especially given the quality of the food.

my self and my partner have been living in Ealing for the last ten years, we are both of Scottish/english background and are both passionate about Italian food, wine and life after several holidays in Tuscany and also getting married there!! So all we can say is how over the moon we were when we discovered Terracotta deli! Apparently it's been open a couple of years but only discovered it 2 months ago from our Italian friends! In brief the food is very authentic rustic tuscan style, great fresh pasta, antipasti also daily specials are availale which range from fresh fish to tuscan sausages! It's very reasonably priced for the quality of food i.e £4 to £7.50 for starters and £ 7.50 to £14.50 for mains. They also have an all Italian wine list, grappas, prosecco's and real Italian espresso!!
We can't afford to go on holiday to Italy this year but on when the sun is shining, lunch or dinner at Terracotta in their garden is the next best thing!
Thank you, grazie!

The food is great, really authentic Tuscan style. I am from Florence and it was pleasure to discover. But when I dared to say that I thought that veal was not as great as the rest I received a verbal aggression and told never to return. I have never been treated so badly in a restaurant in my life. Shame, it was my favourite Italian place in London so far. But there is something more than being able at cooking in life to deserve to be rated properly.

The food and the atmosphere in Terracotta are great. I am Italian and my parents are form Tuscany and the food is a typical Tuscan one. I was recommending this place to all my friends and I thought I was so lucky to have moved near Terracotta. However, today I dared to say that although everything was fantastic the veal was not so great, still good. After a brief exchange with the chef he got so angry for this critic, that he told me to leave and never go back again. He didn't know what to make ok my silly comments, he said, he knows his food is good and I can't dare to criticize when the set menu is so cheap (10£).
I bit my tongue and left. The reason why I was so shocked is that I have never been treated so badly in a restaurant although often I say when things are not right in my opinion. Besides, mine wasn't even a big critic and it came after several comments that everythng was great. So this violent and very rude reaction was for me completely out of place. It would be great to review it in a CCTV. I saw the owner has insulted publicly someone else that has dared to express a critic, I don't mind.
Shame, it was lovely food and lovely place. If all his customers were leaving him because of this bad attitude, maybe that would help him to calm down a little bit.

This place is both a deli and a restaurant. It is small, but definately a hidden gem.
Food is all home-cooked tuscan style, ingredients always seasonal and lots of specials for each day. Really impressed by the quality of the food and what is great is you can buy some of the ingredients in the deli. If this was in central london you would have to pay a fortune for the quality, but you can enjoy 3 courses here for £25 (£30 with wine) depending how you order.
My girlfriend and I are huge fans of the tiramisu, and the grappa list is really good for an after dinner digestive.
If you are after italian foods like mostarda di frutta and various hams and cheeses you really ought to try the deli - I haven't seen a place like this in West London for ages. Also great if you want to get good pandoro or panettone and don't want to go into Harrod's Food hall.
Really worth a visit for a romantic occasion or for those interested in italian cuisine generally.
