This is a brilliant, family friendly venue. Plenty of space for buggies and the staff could not have been more welcoming to our little ones.
The menu has a great range of tasty sandwiches and salads, the portions are generous and very reasonably priced. There's a special deal for kids, with a sandwich, cupcake and drink.
Just make sure you leave room for dessert. This place has the widest variety of cakes I've ever seen and all of them look delicious. I can highly recommend the waffles!

If you want to have a coffee in an adults only environment, then this probably isn't the place for you. That said, before the arrival of our child (and when I was pretty anti-children myself), I didn't find the interfernce too bad at all; I found everyone to be respectful towards others.
My wife really loves this place now, as it is one of the few places she can go with a pram and feel like she isn't going to antagonise anyone by doing so.
In my view, coffee and cake is fine though would agree that coffee could be stronger. Service is very good, and I like the family-run nature of the ven

Lily's is a terrific find and is the very favourite choice of destination for a treat for my two little girls. Everyone is so very friendly and the food and cakes are always delicious.

There are plenty of coffee shops around selling plastic wrapped standardised sandwiches so the baguettes and paninis in Lily's are a delicious change.

Tempted in by the array of lovely looking cakes and pastries and badly in need of caffeine I went into Lily's Indulgence for a cappucino and pastry. Unfortunately the cappucino was sorely lacking in caffeine and consisted of an insipid milky drink topped with froth - not the lovley contrast of bitter coffee and milky frothy top that I was expecting and looking forward to, the pastry was OK but served straight from a chiller cabinet so far too cold as was the air blasting out from the air con unit I was sitting under.

In common with a number of establishments this one had a lack of soft furnishings so the noise from the many young children was not absorbed and reached an uncomfortable level - why don't people running restaurants realise there is a reason all those old fashioned pubs etc have carpets and curtain? - If you are going to welcome children into what looks at first glance like a sophisticated cafe for goodness sake provide some form of distractions for them such as colouring books as it is not a pleasant experience to be trying to have a quiet coffee and read when you are constantly interrupted by a screeching three/four year old running about the place and climbing on the furniture with little or no discipline from the yummy mummy types accompanying these trainee TOWIEs.

Unfortunately the main thing being indulged in Lily's indulgence was the children. I will use one of the many other cafes in the area next time I am there.
