Melrose & Morgan

Located in Primrose Hill, Melrose & Morgan is an artisanal grocery shop providing a range of seasonal foods, hand-prepared with premium ingredients. The ingredients are sourced from small artisan producers mainly in the British Isles. A central table is prepared three times a day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. From the table, you can either choose food to take food away, or to enjoy sat in at the coffee bar. As well as the central table of freshly cooked food, Melrose & Morgan offer produce for you to prepare at home including a selection of organic and free-range meat and poultry, delicious cheeses as well as your every day supplies.

The food is handmade at their kitchen in Chalk Farm. Expert pastry chefs create an extensive range of hand-baked goods including tarts, cakes, biscuits and bars as well as savoury tarts and pastries and potato topped pies including Cottage pie and Fish pies and very popular puff pastry topped Chicken and Mushroom pie. Salads are made fresh every day priced from £1.75 (100g) and soups aplenty, as well as home-made pickles, jams and chutneys.

For summer, Melrose & Morgan aim to make life simpler with a range of ready-made picnics. With a menu set for two the hampers are filled with traditional British summer treats, from chicken, ham and leek pie and Montgomery’s Cheddar from Neal’s Yard Dairy to homemade pear piccalilli, summer Pimm’s and cucumber jellies and a punnet of Chegworth Valley strawberries. The picnics are priced at £44.95.
