I was introduced to this fish mongers by a friend and was very impressed by the service the quality of food and especially the fresh smell of fish, one of which I don't get when I've visited Billingsgate, which actually made me spend more than I wanted but it was well worth it.
The experience continued when the fish was cooked, it tasted so fresh and flavoursome.

I'm a regular customer and have always bought my fish here since Moxon's opened their doors on Lordship Lane. The quality of the fish is excellent and there is always a wide choice. The staff are welcoming and always very helpful and polite. If you fancy trying something new just ask and they'll suggest ways to prepare it. If what you want isn't available, ask and they'll get it from Billingsgate for you if it is available. The prices are not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for and I will never buy cheaper, less tasty fish from a supermarket while Moxon's is open.

I'm a regular customer here and always receive a warm welcome. Staff are very helpful and polite. Fish is excellent quality and you get what you pay for. The expensive fish is expensive but no more expensive then the going rate else where and the reasonably priced fish is just that reasonably price!
It's good to have such a place on your doorstep!

Just saw this whilst trying to check the opening times online and felt it was a little unfair. I have lived in the area for many years and used Moxons since it opened. I have always received a good service, in fact I find the staff, warm friendly and welcoming and have not had a problem like this before. Remember we are human and People do make mistakes.
The fish is perhaps a little overpriced but it really does depend on what you are buying. For instance sea bass will cost you but the bream is reasonable. Just need to know what your cooking and not be blinded by all the fish that looks so great on display.
I will continue to use Moxons as their fish is always fresh and well presented and better than the supermarket.

Such a shame.
The quality of the fish is excellent, and it is certainly fresh. But I was quite badly overcharged when I bought some squid. When I arrived home, I weighed the squid at 650g. I had been charged £14.99!! Even allowing for cleaning, this was surely incorrect.
Furthermore, when I paid by card I was initially charged £114.99!! The mistake was rectified when I pointed it out, but the reaction was suspect (I'm an experienced schoolteacher and can spot a guilty face!)
In short, I would find it impossible to go back, as trust has been lost - especially as the chap responsible for these 'errors' is apparently the manager.

This review is ridiculous. 1/10 because of a mistake that was rectified?
