My first visit to this part of London from Devon, since a very long while ago. I used to work in the City many years ago and frequented what used to be a delightful and very interesting area. Needed to ping a few e-mails, so walked into this place.

Reasonably sized, in a very good locations, but that's it. Walking in, you feel yourself entering into a strange bazaar, where different "traders" engage into business - a Bureau-de-change, mishmashed with a mobile phone desk that reminds you of down-town nowhere in Africa .. oh, and did I mention the awful grey porcelain tiles that makes you want to take a shower there and then, lacking any sense of taste whatsoever?! :D

Access speeds are nothing to speak of, pretty much on a par with everywhere else in an area that expresses itself as more of swamp, with billions of micro-organisms infesting it, as opposed to what was once one of London's prime locations.

To add insult to injury, venture a little into the the side roads next door, and you are greeted by various characters, mostly Kurdish (?), as I've come to understand, practising anything from boot legging to soliciting, and scam flat rentals to well orchestrated and practices organised criminal activities.

Which leaves little, insignificant old me wondering: where the f**k is law enforcement? or is leaving the area to decompose is actually a deliberate, if more than a little cynical, act of gang-cum-crowd-control equilibrium in some indifferent police force chief's agenda, down the road at Paddington Green?
