I visited this MAC concession on the Monday 09/11/09. I wanted to buy a concealer and I noticed first off that the staff were not very attentive to who was coming, I had to look for a member of staff to get some help. The lady that helped me was helpful and I made 3 purchases, 1 concealer, 1 eyeshadow and 1 pencil based on the demonstrations she did on me. I was happy with my purchases and I still am. However I noticed a day after that the skin on my face around my eyes were looking and feeling a bit raised, bumpy and rashy, around my eyes where the make up was applied at MAC in selfridges. I am convinced now a week later that I have caught a skin infection from the brushes she used on me. In fact I'm sure. My routine or diet had not changed and I normally have very clear skin, I make sure of that. This is a warning to anyone who is thinking of getting your make up done at MAC.....DON'T!!!! That brush she used on me was not sanitised or clean. Even if you don't break out in a rash, know that those brushes are not clean or cleaned properly. Think of the amount of people they do on so many women using the same brushes. I am so disappointed at MAC, that a reputable company would allow such negligence in their hygiene and well being of "loyal" customers be compromised. I will never let those women with their brushes touch my skin again!!!
