I don't recognise what is mentioned in other reviews. I find Petters friendly and helpful. Offering a wide range of services.

The staff in this establishment are not friendly, they do not have extensive product knowledge and they do not seem to place the customers needs first.
I collected a prescription yesterday and although medically exempt from wearing a mask i was asked by a member of staff to cover my face despite me informing her of my exemption.
This equates to harrassment of people with hidden disabilities. I phoned to complain and they initially refused to give me the managers name so that I could complain. I am disgusted at this attitude and will now take my custom elsewhere,

I'm afraid I would have to agree with the first reviewer.
Petters did indeed used to have a lovely, homely atmosphere when it was the smaller shop next door. I had had no idea that it had been taken over by new owners until recently. It has since, in my opinion, changed somewhat.
What it has gained in size and luxury, it has lost in character and familiarity. They used to have wonderful previous owners and staff members; genuinely friendly and exceptionally helpful. A charming young man would spend an age discussing various fragrances with me whilst a beautiful middle aged woman could stand there for hours advising me on Clarins products.
The range of products now is quite large, however. It is ALMOST like a village department store. But, agreeing with other reviewers, they do not stock full ranges, rather appearing to sell the best sellers, for example.
Unfortunately, I have stopped visiting Petters. Some of the staff members are definitely rude and unecessariily arrogant. One of the senior staff is not helpful at all, preferring to pull silly faces and make silly remarks. After a totally unprovoked argument with her, I have refused to enter the premises.
It is a shame because there is potential there (as well as a genuine longing) for Petters to become again the once familiar, favourite meeting spot, time pass and general saviour of last minute celebratory gifts venue in Crouch End; its spirited hubbub of jolly, local residents and mothers was a joy to observe.

I don't know what Newbie is talking about, cause I remember the old Petter Pharmacy, it was a quarter the size of what it is now, and the shop was in a bad state of repair. Ever since they have moved next door, I personally think they have done a marvellous job as the product lines and ranges have almost doubled (things you could not get in the old Petters). There is always room for improvement from the staff, but I think they are very helpful, there are a few members of staff who know the products and others who don't know them. As is always the case. But I never once found the staff there arrogant at all.
