Essentials Pharmacy

I have been a customer with Essentials Pharmacy since Esan , the new owner, took over the business over 3 years ago.

Esan has a wealth of knowledge & experience as a Pharmacist, and is always ready to share this with customers, should they seek his advice. He has impeccable manners, and treats his customers with respect , congeniality, yet remains professional throughout. In comparable to Boots The Chemist, I don’t experience the same one to one treatment. Hence, my preference for a small Chemist where you are treated with respect, and given the best treatment.

There is just one important aspect that I would like to draw to all customers who go to Essentials for their NHS Prescriptions. If the Chemist does not give a particular item the patient has requested in their “ repeat”, it has nothing whatsoever to do with the Chemist. The GP has, for whatever reason withheld this item of medication, therefore it is not the Chemist to blame or be criticised for. I have raised this particular issue with Covent Garden Medical Centre, and suggested that out of sheer courtesy the GP explains the reason behind a medication being withheld. Bear in mind, the Chemist can only dispense medication that the GP has authorised/approved. There is no room for flexibility on the part of the Chemist. I hope the Surgery will change their ways for the sake of Dr/Patient relationship, otherwise the patient is inclined to blame the Chemist. The serious flaw is with the Surgery for correction. PLEASE BEAR THIS IN MIND.
Where the medication is on order, the Chemist will explain this to be the case.
