The Pestana Spa is perfect for a simple, no nonsense spa experience
Once in my robe and slippers I was led through the stunning relaxation area by the pool to the treatment area where my bed awaited in a tranquil candle lit room which was filled with a wonderful aroma. The massage therapist was very friendly, she made charming small talk to put me right at ease.
To start with I had a facial skin cleanse which does exactly what it says on the bottle, it was a wonderful gentle cleanse to get rid of all the impurities and a gentle massage with tailored products to suit your skin type for your face to soak up and feel completely nourished. The products that were used smelled luscious and you can even buy some for yourself or as a treat for a friend at a very reasonable cost, what a bonus!
Next up I had a full body Deep Tissue Massage, this can also be tailored to focus on one point of your body that needs special attention. I opted for medium pressure which was perfect for my aching muscles and I really felt the tension drift away with each stroke - I only wish it could have lasted another hour as I was in paradise while she focused on each part with the same care and attention.
My face felt silky smooth all day with the much needed moisture from the oils used and my back was knot free for almost a whole week. The Pestana Spa is perfect for a simple, no nonsense spa experience with an easily accessible menu of treatments to choose from. There are a wide range of treatments and rituals available to select including nail services and skin detoxing, so why not detox inside and out!

A bath with bling
Situated in the luxurious four star Pestana Hotel, the Pestana Spa is a delightful retreat for guests and the general public to get away. On the bottom floor of the hotel the automatic doors open to reveal an enchanted heated swimming pool along with other facilities including sauna, steam room and relaxation area to take advantage of after your treatment.
