must be something about Sydenham and excercise, I was attracted by the thought of toning after having a hip operation and was charged far too much for a "personal trainer" even though I had a full 1 year membership. trying to cancel after saying that the training was too much for me, I was told I needed a letter from my doctor. this is very difficult as obviously it is beneficial to excercise after an operation but is hard to assess the degree of excercise required from one person to another. The personal trainer who was a very nice guy left or moved to another area, the only asset to the club as far as I can see. All the others were either too concerned about how they looked "standing and posing" behind the desk to be of any assistance.
Needless to say I paid one full year for a membership I used approx 4 times. You also have to pay for a towel which is pathetic as the fees are not cheap.
Never again.
