I'm nervous and particular when it comes to getting my hair cut. I used to travel from Hackey to Chelsea and pay £70+ because of this. This is the second place I've tried in East London and I'm really impressed with the cut I've just had. I was talked through the hairdressers ideas and asked for my input loads. As a result, I got a cut that I'm really happy with. The atmosphere at the salon was nice, not too trendy and they used good quality products. Good value at £56 for stylist, esp considering prices of equivalent salons in the area.

If you like your hair cut by tatooed hipsters with nose-rings, black frame glasses, beards, New Balance trainers, turnups and little wooly hats placed on top of their heads - this place is for you. They ARE actually very good at cutting hair, if you're willing to pay the price.

I love Kontakt the atmosphere is great. Everyone is so friendly the service is good too, a girl called Fran cuts my hair, I have been to see her twice, and both times I have felt very happy. I have curly hair and it's very difficult finding someone who can cut curly hair. She has curly hair so she just gets it, am so happy I would recommend curly hair people to go see Fran.....she knows what she's doing ; )

After living in London for three years, I have finally found a salon worth coming back for. I have been to Kontakt three times now and will definitely be returning. Emma (my usual hairdresser) is so lovely and the rest of the staff are also ll very nice. Colour is always just as I want it and the coffee is also top notch ;) See you soon Kontakt

I've been going to Kontact for over 2 years now. I have bleached hair,ROSS cuts and colours my hair and it is a lustrous blonde with a beautiful tone! I've had a very short cut in the past which Ross created and it was a gorgeous cut! (if I do say so myself;)! I'm now growing my hair down again and Ross has managed to maintain the condition through treatments and excellent cuts which allow maximum strenght!
I always have a fantastic experience at the salon and have found everyone on the team to be super welcoming and talented!

I had a pretty good experience at Kontakt. I chose to go there because it was local and the prices seemed about standard as far as this type of salon goes.

My hairdresser was Emma, and she did an ace job with cutting my short hair in pretty much the way I had asked. I showed her a picture of reference, and she asked questions about how I liked to wear my hair.

One of my annoyances about going to salons is that many times I feel as if the stylist doesn't get that I don't put styling products in my hair, nor do I want a haircut that requires me to use a hairdryer or anything else. Emma seemed really understanding of how I rock my short locks, and she's given me exactly what I wanted--a haircut that's fuss-free, but still interesting and far from boring.

The service I had at Kontakt was friendly and professional. I was seen promptly right at my appointment time, and Emma was quick in her work, but not rushed, as she made sure I was happy with my hair before I walked out the door. I also got a coupon for £10 my next service, which I thought was great. I'll be going to them again the next time I need a cut.

When I called to book the appointment I was very honest about the condition of my hair (naturally thick & bleached) and they promised me I'd be with a senior stylist. I also took photos with me of what I wanted and was really explicit. However the haircut I got was infinitely shorter than I'd expected, instead of a feminine side bob I have a spikey masculine mess and have had to invest in a lot of styling products and hair accesories to pull it off. It was actually worse originally then when I left but I suggested a few changes in order to try and salvage the hair. After all of that I complained about the complete failure of the hairdresser (JC, I think she was called) to do what I'd asked, and the manager refused to refund me the £50 it cost - their cheapest price. In fact she accused me of lying about how the cut looked before my minor changes and improvements, saying it was what I'd asked for despite not having seen it! The best they offered was a free cut next time, although this then became 50% off after I accepted! I told them I was never going back and that their service was atrocious and the manager (Sara) stormed off. Bad business, bad haircut, atrocious experience all round and absolutely the worst customer service I've ever known. I can only recommend avoiding this place at all costs if you like your hair!!
