I was there for a Brazilian keratin treatment. Very pleased with results and the service was excellent - I was well looked after throughout and staff were friendly and courteous and very impressed that there was a licensed bar there with drinks at very reasonable prices. Will definitely go there again!

AVOID this salon if you want a massage. Was kept waiting for almost 25 minutes.
When I was finally taken downstairs I was met by a male masseuse who said he would be carrying out my massage as the female masseuse was of sick.
A full body massage carried out by a male?Erh I don't think so.
I cancelled and left. One of the shabbiest places I've ever been too.

I wouldn't recommend remix salon at all, I bought a voucher from groupon and when I got to the salon I found it to be a poor reflection of what I had been offered by the Groupon deal. I had to pay extra money for long hair (my hair is shoulder length), bad service, bad products. I found it to be very dishonest from them because they did not say in advance about extra charges. I have been to many hairdressers in London and my experience at remix salon has been the worst.
Don't purchase the groupon voucher for this salon

I am responding to the comment on behalf of Remix Salon Ltd. This particular comment is really inappropriate and unrelated to the regular and exclusive services that the salon offers. All the voucher deals with "Groupon" are extensively explained in the Terms and Conditions of each series officially published on the company website of "Groupon". The salon offers these services on a separate basis in cooperation with Groupon. Usually the salon deals quickly with any complaint.

This is the worst experience i have had in in 10 years of getting my hair done

1. Service - no consultation, no questions, , laughed when i asked for a side fringe, hurt me a lot including bashing my head off the sink twice. Blast dried frizzy mess had to straighten it when i got home

2. Cut - completely wonky by 2 inches on 1 side. Paying some1 else to fix it taking more off the length. Cut it for 2 minutes, no long layers as asked.

3. Colour - surprisingly ok considering no foil or anythin was used except two sheets of clingfilm on top at the end.

I would recommend never going h

I'm a regular customer and was really surprised to see here that there are people not happy with Remix services?! I have been refreshing my hairstyle every month and have experienced only great service, highly professional products and amazing result! Would gladly recommend to everyone who values professional care and aiming for beautiful, healthy looking hair!

I have had a great day today at Remix and want to share it. I have recommended them before, but today was amazing. I'm writing for the second time. My colour looks perfect and my new style is gorgeous. I am so happy. The good thing about Remix is that once you go regularly and the stylist knows well your hair and preferences, then everything works out nicely. What a wonderful day and a great experience! I highly recommend them again.

Absolutely awful experience. On the top of the fact that salon looks run down, I had to deal with a lot of arrogance from the staff. I bought a voucher and checked with them over the phone 3 times the actual price. In the end they wanted to charge me extra 30 pounds because i have thick hair! And I only wanted roots done! They were also very arrogant. In the end I'm glad I walked out of the salon and gladly paid more to the the other salon where at least the treatment was better and salon was much better equipped.

This time I decided to say something nice about Remix Salon, West Hampstead. First of all, all the staff is very friendly and always offer you a coffee/tea. Second, I've done Brazilian Keratin Treatment a few times already with them. This week I did it for the fourth time and my hair looks amazingly smooth and shiny. It's so easy to maintain your hair after that. I trust these guys that it is done professionally. They explain everything in detail. Third, I colour my hair with them as well very often and I have never had any bad experience with them for the last few years. Highly recommended.

I went their with a Living Socials Voucher for hair straightening and the charged me £30 extra or the so called 'thickness' of my hair. Never before had anybody claimed that my hair was too thick!!!

Anyways, I did clarify to them that I am a breastfeeding mom and I need the treatment to be formaldehyde free, which they convinced me it was. The next thing I know was the salon was filled with fumes and there was this burning sensation through my nose and eyes with a a headache that lasted for 4 days. I was fooled by their sweet talks and lies of the Sunday staff.I m left with terrible hair

I have never left a review, but after visiting Remix yesterday I want to share.

The staff were wonderful, courteous, and attentive whilst managing a power blackout, electricians, and a continuously ringing phone.

The lowlights are absolutely perfect, soft and natural (and I am fussy). The cut is wonderful too.

Reading the reviews, perhaps Groupon clients don't realise that Groupon take 50%. For the quality of the cut and colour I received, I would expect to pay around £200 in a London salon. I gave a £20 tip (would have tipped more if I had it!) and will definitely be returning. Than

Hi,I came back second time to REMIX,to do my roots and Brazilian keratin treatment. And this time I decided to try the offer what they gave it to me last time for Gelish manicure and pedicure for 29,67£.Over all the hair was excellent as usual, but most adorable was when I saw my feet done as I never had before(usually,I have a problem with my feet,my nails are ingrowing and its very hard to treat them.)I was in surprise that I had huge choice of colours as well.
I had Gelish manicure in another salon before but lasted for a week, compare to this time in Remix, lasted more then 3 weeks,I was amas

I wasn't massively thrilled with the service I received here. It was okay, not brilliant. I had to pay an extra £30 for thickness of my hair, I agree my hair is thick, but I think looking at other reviews below, that the salon find a way to charge all groupon customers extra so they make up the money that they lose from advertising on groupon.
I wasn't given a proper consultation, I overhead others having one when I was having my hair washed.
Overall outcome - my hair was a lot easier to straighten after. 3 months later and I'm ready to go back for another treatment.
Was the service amazing? Not really. Will I go back? Yes, although the girl who posted about losing her hair has really worried me.

I have had Brazilian keratin treatment with Groupon voucher at Remix Salon. The service was really great and the treatment is the best one I have done in London. After 3 mounts my hair still perfect very smooth and shiny. The price is very good only I just pay only £30 because my hair was longer than the original deal. They make me feel like a very special person. With no doubt I will be back. Highly recommended!

This is my second post for this salon as feel that I need to warn people of the problems they will have if they go ahead with the Brazilian straightening treatment that they offer here. I cannot comment on any other services they offer, cutting, colouring etc they may well do a good job but the staightening treatment is definately not recommeded. My hair after 5 months is literally 50% thinner than what it was originally, I get clumps of hair falling out everytime i wash it and it now looks awful and thin, like I've aged 20 years in 5 months in the hair department. I expect the product they use is a very cheap one or they do not know how to apply it correctly. When I had the treatment done my scalp was burning and very itchy, when I told the guy, he just grimaced at me and walked off. They just want to make money and don't care about the after effects on their clients. Don't do, honestly, its really not worth it in the long term. I'm hoping it will grow back but may have to resort to exstentions if or when it ever does!

I bought a voucher from Groupon to have a keratin treatment on my hair done at Remix. I've bought the equivalent at several salons around London (all slightly cheaper, I must add) previously. All vouchers, including the Remix one, have stated that customers with very long or very thick hair will be asked to pay a surcharge due to extra product being needed, but not once, until yesterday, had I ever been told that my hair was too long or thick.
Remix was another matter though - my hair doesn't even reach my shoulder blades, but I was informed that because my hair is coloured and therefore dry, I would have to pay an additional £30. Considering the treatment is designed to tame dry or damaged hair, I find it very surprising that they'd penalise customers in this position...
The treatment itself was fine and I was well looked after by a very nice lady who has done a good job, but I do object to having to fork out additional money. I will not be returning to this salon and I urge anyone considering the Groupon voucher to only do so if they have a crew cut!

Worse haircut I have ever had!

They hadn't made a proper booking for me. Then one of the hairdressers asked another girl to "Start her off" - which in English presumambly means to wash my hair first, which she did.

But then this girl proceeded to chop away starting at the top of my head to do layers before even cutting the length. She could not speak English, so I was hoping another hairdresser would come and make sure I had a proper consultation, but instead she just continued cutting anyway. I had to repeativly state that I DON'T want big or lots of layers. She said politely "you want layers or not?". I answered yes, but not big, and not many, just at the bottom (tried showing her about 5 cm worth of layers) and no feather bits around the front. The complete opposite is the end result.

It is practically a mullet haircut, a chunk missing on one side (where the layer is at its shortest), the whole thing is shorter than shoulder length looking like a long bob.

Will take me several months to grow it out and cut it again.

The only good thing was that it was cheap. The other bad thing was waiting for someone to greet me as I walked in and to pay at the end was longer than the actual haircut.

After having a Brazilian Blow Dry here, I have to say that Im dubious about the products they claim they use. I was told prior to the treatment that they were Formeldehyde free, therefore no strong fumes or head stinging were to be expected. However, I experianced both of these. If you check out there website theres also 2 Keratin products they mention that they use. Etnik by Widicare and Coppola. Etnik being the budget brand that contains Formeldehyde. My hair is definately less curly than I went in and smoother but is also quite dry now. I have to intensive condition it everytime now. Its not the result I was looking for to be honest. My advice would be to get them to confirm which product they will use on you before you go ahead

I first went to Remix about six months ago. I am always nervous about trying new hairdressers, however I was made to feel relaxed and at ease almost immediately. The atmosphere was really nice and unpretentious. I've had Hair cuts, highlights and the Keratin brazilian treatment which were all the very best I've ever had. I have had a lot of keratin treatments in the past and I can honestly say the results at Remix are second to none. I have recommended so many people and will continue to do so. From an overly happy Client.

My treatment at Remix was the result buying a Groupon voucher for a Brazilian/keratin blow dry, valid at their salon. It cost £69 initially.

> First impressions: I arrived to find the staff smoking on a cafe type table in front of the salon. Ash tray full of cigarette ends. They asked me "are you here to see one of us?" >
> I was ushered in, where a girl was squeezing a spot in front of the mirror.
> I was then told that he would either have to cut off around 5 inches off my hair, or I would have to pay £25 more, as my hair is long. I opted to pay, obviously!
>
> I was then offered a drink (lovely) and a magazine, and the proceedure commenced, and care did seem to be taken over it. I was given all the instructions on the 'dos and dont's' of the treatment and the chap did straighten my hair to perfection (I was suddenly expecting great things).
> I was however then made to feel slightly nervous again when the he started complaining to me about all the complaining customers he gets....

After 2 hours in the chair, I was done, and was persuaded to buy the keratin shampoo and conditioner, which is supposed to be used after the treatment. This cost another £28. I had already paid £69 Groupon voucher, and £25 for having long hair.
>
> I had to leave the treatment in my hair for 3 days without washing (nightmare for me as I usually was my hair more frequently), and followed all the instructions I had been given. I was so excited to finally wash my hair and see the results, but I was so disappointed when I did. I would say my hair is only 30% smoother and straighter. This is not the usual outcome, so I suggest they scrimped on product.
Disppointed customer!
