Shocking!I bought an offer on Time Out for a brazillian Blow Dry.Arrived at the salon and they washed my hair.Once seated and waiting for a stylist I was told that they did not have enough product to give me a Brazilian blow dry.I didn't even receive an apology and walked out with wet hair!

I’ve been visiting the Rush Covent Garden branch, since purchasing a Groupon voucher about a year ago and have been coming back ever since. Sarah is a brilliant stylist, always listens carefully to the style and colour I want and checks throughout the appointment that I’m happy. Also really good value for half a head of highlights and cut, compared to other London salons where I've been stung for up to £150 in the past. Generally the salon staff are warm and friendly, would definitely recommend especially Sarah.

This was one of the worst experiences I have had at a salon ever! Today I visited the Westfield salon for a Brazilian blow dry - what a mistake. firstly, I had purchased a Groupon Voucher and had to wait 5 months before the salon could fit me in! I complained to groupon at the time but got no response from them, so I kept the appointment as I'd already paid for it.

I rang to confirm the appointment the day before as nobody had contacted me in 5 months and didn't trust that they were aware I was coming. They were rude to me on the phone.

I arrived 10 minutes prior to the appointment and waited for 20 minutes for manager/owner to arrive at the salon. I gave them my voucher which seemed to cause distress....they weren't aware I had a voucher even though I had made this clear at the time of booking. I was made to feel very uncomfortable and got the impression they felt I was wasting their time from that moment on.

I was passed to someone for a wash, someone else for a rinse, back to the manager/owner a cut and to put the treatment on, someone else for a blow dry and back to the owner/manager for ironing. I felt like no one was really interested in me or what I wanted - I was given to any one who had nothing to do at that moment. Nobody spoke to me or smiled in the entire visit.
The cut took about 5 minutes...the blow dry and ironing another 20 and the overall impact was extraordinarily disappointing. I had read a lot of articles and watched videos on youtube about this process and knew it should take between 2 and 3 hours if done properly. There was no attention to detail what-so-ever in this treatment. A guy came in for a cut at the same time as me and we were finished at the same time....just not possible if my treatment ws done properly!
At the end of the vist my hair still felt sticky with the treatment fluid and I had to go home to iron it for myself to make sure all the fluid was sealed into my hair. AVOID AVOID AVOID!

Recently had a group session at the salon in Covent Garden. The owner/manager was extremely unprofessional and informed us that she wasn't happy to have opened the store at 10am when it normally opens at 11am. This was after it was her suggestion for us to have a 10am session. We were then on time, however the staff were not and started 15 minutes late. The manager then locked us in the store with one employee while she went out. Besides the attitude of the manager the place is unhygenic! The same slippers were used for at least 2 groups of 3 of us. The same foot file was also used for the 6 in our group and then the next person not in our group. Dead skin from all of us was left lying on the floor. It was also so cold we needed to keep our coats on the whole time.

I would give 0 if I could, what an appalling attitude, the Westfield Salaon, and manager has.

This is my complaint email sent to Groupon I tried to send it to [email protected] but it came back as their mailbox was full or closed, probably due to being inundated with complaints.

Dear Groupon & (for attention of Keith Warner of Ginger Group Head Office)

I am writing to complain about my experience of trying to redeem my Groupon voucher, with the Ginger Group, which was for two people at a total value of £175 to be used at the Westfield branch as specified in the advertised deal.

As per the instructions on the voucher I spent a whole week trying to get through to one of the five mobile numbers printed on the voucher as per the instructions, however all the numbers were either disconnected or would go through to a voicemail.

On your advice we then contacted the Westfield Salon directly, and they gave us a date for the 12th Nov 2010 at 12pm as their salon diary was empty that day.

However when I called back to confirm on the 18th Oct 2010, the Manager James speaking in the background, instructed the receptionist, to tell the person calling, that as the customer was calling regarding a Group-On voucher booking, she should now inform them that they were fully booked until Feb.

I then explained that they obviously were not fully booked as they had already booked us in on the 12th Nov 2010, they said well for Groupon customers they are fully booked. The general attitude and tone was very poor and derogatory, like Group-on customers were to be treated differently/looked down upon, which is an appalling attitude to have and project.

I then tried to book something in, and they eventually offered a Wednesday appointment, as we were told Groupon customers could not be given Friday appointments. Thus we provisionally took the earliest appointment available, on the 2nd Feb, even though this is 5 months away almost and the earliest, and very in
