At icon we're proud of our unique approach to hairdressing and believe that the idea of individuality is something worth protecting.
Since 1996 icon has successfully shunned the production line mentality of the franchise salons and instead delivered "something a bit different" to hairdressing in Kingston.
We are proudly independent and believe in our personalised, professional and honest approach to hairdressing, seeing it as a refreshing alternative to what most salons normally offer.
Whether it's by way of our exclusive use of AVEDA plant based hair products for both styling and colouring or in our informed, relaxed and welcoming atmosphere we have created, we’re sure you’ll find "something a bit different" at icon that’s both unique and inspiring to you.
icon is a salon for all the family, men, women kids too. We offer free consultations, relaxing head massages, a glass of wine or beer with your haircut, plus late night appointments for those of you that are busy in the day!
Personalised AVEDA prescriptive hair colouring, bridal/hair up styling and hair smoothing services are also offered.

I have been using Icon for a while now and they are great! Relaxing head massage, great customer service, talented and friendly staff. I am always extremely happy with how I leave the salon. The Aveda products smell great!.. I have tried a few Salons in Kingston and this is by far the best.

I changed my hair from blonde to dark and they did an amazing job. Having been blonde all my life it was a bit of a shock to see myself with dark hair, but I really love it. I would definitely recommend Icon for the care and attention they gave me from colour advice to the final result and a great haircut as well!
Always excellent - Andrew & Sarah are great, and they have built up a very good team. Always trying to improve the customer experience, and it's a pleasure to support a small and innovative business. Quality of service is always very good.
I have had my hair done here quite a few times and the people are great and they do a fantastic job i'd deffo reccommed to a friend or anyone for that matter.
